0.3 Pre 3

People, I suppose that this is the last pre version. I did basically all the features. Some important things, you can now use the viewer only with the intipunku-viewer command, it should also appear under nautilus. You can also use intipunku-import for the import wizard, in settings it can be configured as the default importer for cameras. Many other improvements have been done and such. Try it out on the download page.

Notice, I really need translators. The work is simple and not to hard.

About the name

The project is named IntiPunku this is Aymara/Quechua for Sun Gate. Intipunku is a gate in the lost city of Tiahuanacu, considerably the oldest city known to men. However it is not a very known place, neither is the country is it is in (Bolivia). In my opinion the country lacks interest of the world and therefore research to recover and find out what happened at Tiahuanacu. To promote the interest in the cause I named the project Sun Gate (Inti Punku).

If you'd like to read more, the internet is full of information. I recommend this blog: http://fallencreature.wordpress.com/genesis-files/tiahuanacu-ancient-seaport-25-miles-above-sea-level-oldest-city-on-earth/

0.3 coming

The newest version of Intipunku is almost ready. I can almost say the program has changed completely. It has gotten more mature. It is more user friendly, more stable and more feature rich. I have added various filters than can enhance you photos significantly.
The project is up2date translated in English, Catalan, Spanish and Dutch, since nobody is helping me in the project i can only translate to the languages that i know sufficiently.
After 0.3 I will add more features and bugfixes, however i must say with the release of 0.3 the project base has been set.
Before the project was intended to be a clone of Picasa, however i feel that project has gone beyond the funcionality of any photo manager. Therefore i also work on port for windows, it is a pain it the ass, since Intipunku depends on various unix only programs. I did manage to create ports of all of them fortunately, including gphoto2!!!
